The Pluckers, Allen Shaw, Greg Poppell, Barry Rodgers, Wayne Shoobridge and Rob Addison entertain the masses at the Australia Day celebratations in Mount Isa, North West Queensland, on a very warm and humid Australia Day morning.

26th January saw ‘The Pluckers’ play and sing a variety of Aussie folk; bluegrass; blues and original items, while the crowd enjoyed a free BBQ breakfast.

Songs from their repertoire included; ‘The Crawdad Song’ and a very upbeat version of ‘Ghost Riders in the Sky’, also proved yet again, to be local favourites. The group’s fiddle player was away that day, but her place in the group is enhanced by the dance breaks she takes while the band is playing ‘Irish Washerwoman’.
