New Release From Green River Revue – Aunt Mary’s Spring.

Mighty Cord Records has released a new single from Green River Revue called Aunt Mary’s Spring..

Aunt Marys Spring, Aunt Mary's SpringThis captivating song features the talents of Kelsey Crews on lead vocals and banjo; David Mansfield III on fiddle and vocals; James Seliga on guitar and vocals; David Freeman on mandolin and vocals; and Producer Landy Ewing on bass and vocals.

Being a lifelong fan of the Rice Brothers, particularly Larry Rice, I had heard Aunt Mary’s Spring many times through the years. But one night in the green room at the Station Inn a couple years ago, I heard Kelsey Crews playing and singing ‘Aunt Mary’s Spring,’ and his rendition literally captivated my attention. It was like the dust had been wiped off a beautiful old stained-glass window, letting light not seen in years through – Josh Ulbrich, Station Inn.

Aunt Mary’s Spring originally appeared on the band’s album Opening Remarks, which had a limited release early last year. The album will be re-released nationally with two new tracks this year. Aunt Mary’s Spring and Green River Ferryboat are streaming everywhere and available to radio programmers at AirplayDirect, Get It Played, and Hope River Entertainment.

Green River Revue is a newer 5-piece bluegrass band that is loaded up with great award-winning pickers and singers. Early last year they recorded and released ‘Green River Ferryboat’ and it was a well-received by DJs and listeners all over the world. Aunt Mary’s Spring is the latest release by this wonderful band, and I hope you give it a listen. I’m sure that you will be impressed as I was – Charlie Hall, The Bluegrass Express.
