Del McCoury – Artist of the Year
Del McCoury has been named Artist of the Year in his home state of Pennsylvania. The Award will be presented on 8th April in his hometown of York, Pennsylvania.
Now in its 29th year, the annual governor’s award is a tradition honoring Pennsylvania artists, arts organizations and patrons who have made significant contributions to the advancement of the arts.
Del McCoury is now in his 50th year as an entertainer. His music has defined authenticity for hard-core bluegrass fans to whom he has taken his brand of bluegrass music across the USA and internationally.
The Del McCoury Band comprises his sons, Ronnie McCoury and Rob McCoury with Alan Bartram and Jason Carter.
