African Banjo Safari

News just in from Ross Nickerson tells us that he is off to Africa for a photo safari, but that’s not all he’ll be up to on the trip. Ross writes:

Join me for an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience traveling to Africa for an African Photo Safari. I can’t tell you how excited I am to be able to offer an adventure that you will not forget for the rest of your life. In my experience of teaching privately and traveling to hold group banjo workshops there has never been a destination as special as visiting Africa. Be one of the small group that will experience this. Your Photographic Safari will include lots of great food, comfortable and safe accommodations, daily game drives, time for relaxing and enjoying the lodge and its many benefits, shopping, and daily optional lectures in wildlife photography.

Thakadu River Camp consists of twelve tented suites, each with its own viewing deck overlooking the Marico River. The main camp comprises an open plan lounge, dining and reception area, with the swimming pool, bar area and lapa offering views of the gully and river to the north.
On arrival at Lesedi in the late afternoon, guests are welcomed in the traditional African way with a suitable escort to ‘their’ village. Once settled in comfortable, traditionally styled rooms, guests can then discover the many colorful and fascinating aspects of the cultures of the people of Lesedi.

Dining at Thakadu – a variety of delicious African dishes are served in Thakadu River Camp’s dining area or you can enjoy a superb dining experience in the bush listening to the sounds of the nocturnal animals around you.

Dining at Lesedi – enjoy African dishes from the far corners of Africa in Lesedis three-tiered restaurant.
