The Salisbury RSL Club hosts a new monthly jam session in Adelaide.

On the third Sunday of every month from 1:00pm to 5:00pm the RSL Club will host a jam session for those interested in enjoying live music either through playing it or listening to it.

Organisers have suggested that there is to be regular jam sessions and occasionally an open mic. and blackboard concerts featuring musicians who feel that they are ready to perform in small groups or individually.

On occasion there will also be a working band invited to lead a jam/workshop with participants encouraged to follow along and join in, in a non threatening environment. There may be other genres of the music encouraged also. These might include country, rockabilly, cajun zydeco and rock ‘n roll. As a bonus the local line dancing troupes and Bluegrass Cloggers will be invited to demo their moves on the dance floor’

The facilities at the Club include a licensed bar, kitchen with a hot water urn on the boil for self serve tea and coffee and biscuits

The RSL club will supply the staff at no cost and will cover the necessary public liability insurance.

Entry will be by gold-coin donation, and free for RSL members. The usual dress codes and other club rules apply along with any current covid rules.

Now if you love these types of music come along and enjoy, all are welcome to help keep bluegrass music alive.
