Jerry Douglas has re-defined the Dobro guitar writes Peter Cooper.
The Dobro was, and still is, a wooden-bodied acoustic guitar with a metal resonator plate that amplifies the sound. It’s like the fellow at work who always talks too loud. In the coming week, Douglas will begin a four-show residency at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville Tennessee where he’ll release a sure-to-be-celebrated album called Glide.
