2026 IBMA Youth Band Applications Now Open.
The Next Generation Stage shines a spotlight on the future of bluegrass music. Featuring talented Kids on Bluegrass groups, college bands, and youth bands, this stage celebrates the passion, skill, and fresh energy of up-and-coming artists. These young musicians take the stage to connect with fans and carry the tradition forward, proving that the next generation of bluegrass is ready to lead the way.
Youth bands are invited to apply for a performance slot on the Next Generation Stage at IBMA Bluegrass Live. This opportunity allows young musicians to showcase their talent in front of a live audience as part of one of the most exciting events in bluegrass.
Bands are selected by the IBMA Youth Committee through a process that considers entertainment value, level of professionalism, potential audience appeal, and overall quality of work.
This is a valuable opportunity for young artists to gain performance experience, connect with the bluegrass community, and represent the next generation of the genre.
