Tickets On Sale For The 2024 Wirrina Bluegrass and Acoustic Roots Festival.
It’s now September and just over two months to until the 2024 Wirrina Bluegrass and Acoustic Roots Festival, 22nd to 24th November, 2024.
This year’s festival includes the USA’s Nokosee Fields & Ryan Nickerson who will teach at the 2024 music camp and then perform at the festival. They are wonderfully accomplished musicians and entertainers that have a solid collection of music from Appalachia and the American Midwest. Plus more fine performers and instructors with details on the Wirrina Bluegrass and Acoustic Roots Festival website.

Ticket are priced to encourage pre-booking for those who can with a small online discount. If you are unable to pre-book, or need to bring extra people at the last minute, tickets are still available at the door.

Your festival ticket does not include accommodation, however, plenty of campsites are available on site. Bookings can be made online only. Book here. All cabins are now sold out There are plenty of other accommodation options in the district.
Volunteers are particularly needed for setup and pack up. It is not extreme work, mostly about the need to lift safely in teams, move chairs and other supplies, generally look after each other. You need to be reliably available both before and after the festival (or negotiate according to your availability).
Other areas where we need help include various aspects of looking after performers, including a couple of billets/host families as close as possible to Wirrina. And, some miscellaneous jobs to keep the festival and festival site going. If you are keen to reliably do any of these things, please email the organisers here.
This year will once again see the Young Musicians’ contest, with prize money for those under 18 playing and singing in traditional acoustic styles. More information coming through website soon. Festival organisers want to hear from you if you teach under 18s, or otherwise have networks and places to get the information out.
