Foghorn String Band

Performer Line-up news from the 2023 Wirrina Bluegrass and Acoustic Music Festival.

The 2023 Wirrina Bluegrass and Acoustic Music Festival have announced Canadian/US band Foghorn String Band will be one of the acts at this year’s event.

With more acts to be announced to the line-up to-date includes:

  • Tony O’Rourke trio
  • Kate Battersby
  • The High Drifters
  • Crooked Road
  • Bluegrass Junction
  • McHarg Creek
  • Green Fieldz
  • Vetter Og Villska

As always, the festival simply does not run without volunteers. As well as the festival team who plan year-round, organisers rely on the good will of a variety of folk who help in the office with tickets, merchandise and general information, as well as those who shift chairs, clean general areas, monitor workshops, attend the fire pits and heaters, as well as before and after the festival setting up seating and tents, and packing them down afterwards to return to the Showground and storage.

(The festival is also supported by those who take MC roles, or who use their media roles to help promote the festival in the months leading up to it – please get in touch if this is you!)

If you have some youthful energy on your side and have not volunteered before, organisers want to hear from you. If you think you’d like to join in and exchange approx 6 hours of work for your weekend ticket, please Email Wirrina

Tickets sales are now open. Visit this link. Accommodation should be booked separately – the caravan park booking code is Bluegrass2023 – if you do not use this, it will advise you that the November dates are not available. This code will work for bookings from Saturday November 18th through to Monday November 27th. You can book online here.

Just a reminder that the festival does not book the park as such, but the festival attendees are guests of Ben and Holly the Park owners. Thus, while festival ticket proceeds go to putting on the festival, the accommodation bookings and buying food and drink at the kiosk support the Park, which is Ben and Holly’s local family business. Please note that camping/site fees are paid directly to the park, as above. They are generous sponsors of the festival.
