Coming up in Adelaide to kick off the new year and banish the Covid blues in the annual new year’s day Adelaide Pick in The Park.
Now in its 30th year, the event is held in Botanic Park located on the north side of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens
All bluegrass and old-time music pickers and fiddlers are welcome. Bring your own instruments, lunch, chairs etc.
PITP runs all day on New Year’s Day. You don’t have to be a picker to attend. Many people attend to have lunch, sit in the park and enjoy the day.
The Adelaide Botanic Garden is a 51-hectare public garden set in the north-east corner of the Adelaide city centre, in the Adelaide Park Lands. It encompasses a fenced garden on North Terrace and behind it the Botanic Park. Work was begun on the site in 1855, with its official opening to the public on 4 October 1857.
