IBMA Members Elect Leaders to the Board.

Professional members of the International Bluegrass Music Association recently participated in annual elections to determine several positions on the organization’s board of directors. One new face will be added to the board and three were re-elected to new terms.

Those elected and the membership categories they represent are:

  • Cindy Baucom, from Elkin, NC is an award winning broadcaster and host of the syndicated program Knee Deep in Bluegrass. Cindy will continue to represent broadcast media members
  • Donica Christenson, director of artist and media relations with Sugar Hill Records in Nashville, TN.  This is her first term as an “at-large”
    representative (all members).
  • Craig Havighurst, founder/writer/producer for String Theory Media in Nashville, TN, was re-elected to represent print, media & education.
  • Carl Jackson, award winning performer, songwriter and producer from Gallatin, TN, represents artists, composers & publishers in his second term.

Each was elected to a three-year term which begins on 26th September, 2011.

The board is IBMA’s policy-making governing body which determines long-range goals and priorities for the association. Members serve
without compensation and bear the full expense of attending IBMA events and board meetings held at least twice each year.
