The 18th Imbil Acoustic Music Weekend is scheduled for 4th, 5th, and 6th November, 2011.
Organisers believe that this year is shaping up to be pretty full on with a line up of great entertainment from a wide range of musical genres.
Saturday Programme includes mandolin workshops, banjo slow jam; Dobro and singing workshops with more to be confirmed later.
Saturday Night Concert will feature Brisbane Bluegrass band, Groundspeed comprising Karen (lead vocals, fiddle, guitar) & Jacko Jackson (fiddle), Matt Herne (banjo), Ian Dodd (mandolin), Mark Webber (double-bass). Groundspeed brings together five diverse musicians, playing and singing an exciting blend of old-time classics and more progressive Bluegrass. The band delivers rich traditions of music-Bluegrass, Old Country, Celtic, Jazz, Blues and even Andean Folk.
Other acts confirmed for the weekend include Evan Mathieson, The Sheepdogs, Wendy Holman, Stewart Porter Band.
