Thanks Harro,
The website lists the project as being in post production. There are no timelines listed. Even so I would not count on seeing it in Australia for a while and even then it is likely to be a SBS doco I would expect. Perhaps we should all give SBS a call and requested it be screened on Aust. TV?

The new documentary "The Banjo Project" looks very interesting from the short 8 odd minute preview provided. Any idea if/when it will be shown on Australian TV? I don't want to miss this one.

Thanks for your lovely words Rosie....you're too kind. To put it simply, we just enjoy playing music together and putting 'smiles on dials'!

Pls make sure you come up and say gidday at the next Yinnar Pub night. We'd love to meet you and Howie.

Go you guys! I so miss Mt Isa! One of our neighbours often plays good old folk music, he was playing it last night and it bought back lovely memories. We hope to get back to the Isa one day! The first place we will be visiting of course is the Isa Folk Club! Don't forget the next celebration, probably the 100th, I'll come back and we can have a reunion, like we did for the 75th! Me, the Stickos, Kerry :)

My husband and I have been visiting the Yinnar pub every month for about a year now just to watch the Stringbusters play. I first saw them perform at the Boolarra Folk Festival, immediately following the Jan 2009 bushfires there. I was hooked immediately! They are brilliant!

And a relative of mine from UK visited recently and he is now a loyal Stringbuster fan too, spreading the word in his hometown in Kent, UK. He went home with the sounds of 'Waitin'for you!' ringing in his ears!

I know that the Stringbusters have done a lot for various local Gippsland communities affected by the recent bushfires - they truly are a community band. Good on ya, guys! You certainly lifted our spirits above the smoke.

What a terrific bunch of fellas!
