About the Editor:

My name is Gregory McGrath and I live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia. My love of bluegrass music started back in 1978 when I lived and worked in Mount Isa. I heard the banjo and got hooked. I have been playing bluegrass music (guitar and banjo) since that time.

I started the Australian Bluegrass Blog as means to provide Australian bluegrass aficionados a clearing house for news of artists and events which may be of interest. I hope you enjoy the visit - Greg.

    Great idea Greg,
Now all you need is another 24hrs added to a standard day. It would be a great opportunity to share ideas and bring the bluegrass community closer together.

I have been asked by several folk to think about hosting a Forum page to provide for a place to hold discussions. Is this something that would be widely used?

Hello, We recorded this years Yarra Juntion Fiddlers Convention concert.
Andrew let us plug into his mics and we recorded 99.9% of complete raw concert. Large spaces between bands but it is what it is. We will try and cut out all the silence in between as soon as we get time. We plan on recording more events for all to enjoy in the future.
Also we we record for you live at festivals from our camp. So if you are having a good jam somewhere and what a memory of it, come find us and we will record it for you.

For now we have a link on our last page of our website http://www.banjobrothersaustralia.com

Please go there and download from this link if you are interested. We would love to hear back from you. It is safe and working for our other members that have already downloaded it.
No need to join us to download but feel free to become one of our free members.
    Enjoy your day.

Hi Julianne. If you haven’t turned up anything yet, I could help. I come across lots of banjos and am happy to fit a banjo to a players need and budget, and ensure they get value for money and as good an instrument as possible. I can also help get it set up properly which is an integral part of buying a banjo. Regards, Peter Nahuysen. Bellbird Banjo Co peternahuysen@optusnet.com.au @Julie-ann

Very well prepared site, new information appears daily, leaves most other Bluegrass sites in the dust. Greg, you’ve really produced something that the whole Bluegrass community greatly appreciates. Thank you.
